"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:
My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick
Release date: June 14, 2012
A gorgeous debut about family, friendship, first romance, and how to be true to one person you love without betraying another
“One thing my mother never knew, and would disapprove of most of all, was that I watched the Garretts. All the time.”
The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, numerous, messy, affectionate. And every day from her balcony perch, seventeen-year-old Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them . . . until one summer evening, Jase Garrett climbs her terrace and changes everything. As the two fall fiercely in love, Jase's family makes Samantha one of their own. Then in an instant, the bottom drops out of her world and she is suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself?
A dreamy summer read, full of characters who stay with you long after the story is over.
What are you waiting on this Wednesday?
P.S. While you are here why not check out my two giveaways:

We Fancy Books
I didn't even know it was on NetGalley. If it's a book you absolutely really want to read I would just keep hitting that request button. You might get approved the second time. Maybe too many people requested it at once?
Deletethe publisher might get irritated if I pushed too much, they clearly declined me for a reason. I do hope you get accepted though...

We Fancy Books
That's true! I wouldn't want to irritate the publishers especially since it's not something they have to offer for bloggers. I did at one time re-request a book and got accepted the second time. I haven't actually requested this one. I think I'll wait for the paperback.
DeleteNow I hope I haven't made anyone upset by accidentily requesting something more than once. I think that has happened a couple times in the past because I wasn't keeping track of what I asked for.
Oh boy...I just realised how my first reply may have sounded. I didn't mean to say that if you get declined you should just right away go and re-request the book. That would be rude! I don't know what you thought of my comment but apologize if it came off that way.
DeleteI just meant to say that I have really wanted to read books in the past. In those special cases I have taken some time to see if I could afford/wait for them and re-requested then. I definitely respect the declined letter and I have never requested the same book more than twice even if it is one I really, really want to read. Maybe that was wrong...I don't know?
I don't really use Netgalley very often so I'm not really all that familiar with what publishers get irritated by and they don't say why we are declined for certain books in the letter so I've never thought about them just not wanting a review from me, personally. Thanks, Jay for commenting again because I wouldn't have realised how that sounded!
I have been wanting to read this book also. It sounds really good. Thanks for sharing.
