Friday Teasers: Book Beginnings, The Friday 56, and Trailer

This is the book I am currently reading. Almost finished and should be back later this week with a review for you (hint: I'm loving it). Time to tease you all with it!

Each night when 16 year-old London Lane goes to sleep, her whole world disappears. In the morning, all that's left is a note telling her about a day she can't remember. The whole scenario doesn't exactly make high school or dating that hot guy whose name she can't seem to recall any easier. But when London starts experiencing disturbing visions she can't make sense of, she realizes it's time to learn a little more about the past she keeps forgetting-before it destroys her future.

Part psychological drama, part romance, and part mystery, this thought-provoking novel will inspire readers to consider the what-if's in their own lives and recognize the power they have to control their destinies.

Book Beginnings:

Book Beginnings on Friday is a weekly meme hosted by A Few More Pages where we answer the question, "So, what is the first line of your current read, and how did you like it?"

The first line is

Aren't Fridays supposed to be good?

My first thought is to answer the question. Yes, of course! Fridays should always be awesome. Then I think, this person must be having a bad day if they are saying Fridays are supposed to be good. Then I wonder what has happened or what is happening to make the day bad and of course I want to keep reading. This is a very good first line. It made me want to read more. It didn't give away too much and yet left the thought open to be explored. I like it.

The Friday 56

is hosted by Freda's Voice
*Grab a book, any book.

*Turn to page 56.
*Find any sentence that grabs you.
*Post it.

It's that simple.

On page 56 of Forgotten by Cat Patrick:
Across a semicircle of black-clad mourners, a few faces stand out: an older woman with a white lace handkerchief, a younger woman in a low-cut dress, an imposing bald man who looks like a brick wall.

If for some reason, the video does not show up, you can watch it here.

I hope you are sufficiently "teased". So, what's your Book Beginning? What about your 56?
