On My Wishlist

Note: On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It's where I list all the books I desperately want but haven't actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. It's also an event that you can join in with too - Mr Linky is always at the ready for you to link your own 'On My Wishlist' post. If you want to know more click here.

This week I am highlighting:

Unwind by Neal Shusterman

Summary:
Connor, Risa, and Lev are running for their lives.

The Second Civil War was fought over reproductive rights. The chilling resolution: Life is inviolable from the moment of conception until age thirteen. Between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, however, parents can have their child "unwound," whereby all of the child's organs are transplanted into different donors, so life doesn't technically end. Connor is too difficult for his parents to control. Risa, a ward of the state is not enough to be kept alive. And Lev is a tithe, a child conceived and raised to be unwound. Together, they may have a chance to escape and to survive.

...

I read Bruiser last year and really liked it so I am looking forward to reading other books by Neal Shusterman as well. There has been a lot of praise for Unwind in the book blogging world. I have never seen something bad about it.

  1. Unwind was one of my favorite books and one of the most stolen from my classroom shelves. I like everything by Neal Shusterman but that was probably my favorite.
