Waiting on Wednesday: Lola and the Boy Next Door

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine.

This week I'm waiting on:

For budding costume designer Lola Nolan, the more outrageous, the outfit—more sparkly, more fun, more wild—the better. But even though Lola’s style is outrageous, she’s a devoted daughter and friend with some big plans for the future. And everything is pretty perfect (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the dreaded Bell twins move back into the house next door.

When the family returns and Cricket—a gifted inventor and engineer—steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.

Anna and the French Kiss is my absolute favourite read so far this year. So when I found out that Stephanie Perkins is working on another book and that it will be out later this year I was absolutely thrilled. More than that - I was practically jumping up and down with joy. I couldn't wait to tell someone - so I even ambused my husband with this great news as soon as he got home. Every time I think about it now, I get this great big goofy grin on my face. And I can't help it. Can't wait!!!

This is only my second time participating in the meme.
If you can, please leave me a comment or link so I can see what else is out there!
Even if I don't always comment back, I always check out the links people give me.

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!

    That's What Liz Read

  3. Great pick! I bought Anna and the French Kiss last week, and I'm really looking forward to starting it! Happy Reading! Here's my WoW!

  4. I thought Anna & the French Kiss was a fabulous read, can't wait for LOLA!! Isn't the cover so adorable?

  5. I LOVED Anna & the French Kiss. Stephanie Perkins did such a good job with the romantic tension and I like how both of her books have that friends first deal for the protagonists :). Plus, Lola and Cricket? I love it when the characters have such unusual names. Great choice!
